Reputation Movers was Founded
Reputation Movers was founded under the motto “We take this personally”.
By 1990, Reputation was serving Northern Virginia with a two truck fleet and 5 full-time movers and packers.
Through the 1990's, Reputation’s “warehouse” consisted of a shed filled with moving materials and an honor system to pick them up, running out of Patrick’s backyard in Alexandria, VA.
Reputation Movers Grows Larger
Starting in 2000, Reputation movers began formalizing processes, procedures and growth goals to ensure quality service every time.
At this time, Reputation opened their first official warehouse on Henry Street in Alexandria, VA.

Becoming a Local Favorite
By 2013, Reputation grew to a 5 truck fleet and 10 full time employees, while upholding the founding goal of prioritizing the customer experience over quantity of moves. This meant consistently delivering one move a day so the founder, Patrick, could be present for each and every job.
In 2015, Reputation Movers hit the milestone of 15,000 moves, marking 3 decades of service excellence in Virginia.
Reputation Movers Gets New Life
In 2017, Carson Carr began working at Reputation, carrying forward the legacy of excellent service from his father and founder, Patrick.
In 2022, Reputation Movers merged with Division 1 Moving and Storage, combining years of experience with the technology and support to more families across Northern VA.
